Using Tubequizard to Enhance Your English Language Skills

What is Tube Quizard? Summarised by its founder Orya Sergeeva:

Tube Quizard (http://tubequizard.com/quizzes.php) is a feel tool that generates listening decoding quizzes based on subtitled Youtube videos. 
It allows you doing listening quizzes based on videos clips from news, movies, interviews and so on. Lots of resources which cover various aspects of the authentic using of English are provided in this website. You could even create your own and personalized quizzes generated from Youtube videos.
Obviously it has lots of advantages including:
  • Enhance users' listening skills, spelling competency, grammatical accuracy.   Users should fill in the blank with correct words while listening to the video clips. Hence the skills mentioned above are practiced.
  • Authentic English and contexts.  Users are using authentic English materials when learning it. It's so important in L2 learning.
  • Motivating, Interactive and Communicative.  Have a try of this tool and you'll soon find it's so motivating and interactive. The video will pause while your are typing the required word. And it will start exactly from the part you need when you click on the next blank.
And Tube Quizard is absolutely free which makes it even better!

 However, I found one obvious drawback that this website is much helpful when practicing input skills rather than output ones since users are only encouraged to fill in the specific words and finish the tests to gain a high score. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants to enhance their productive skills in L2.

    You are right, Shan. This site is good for pratising listening skills but not for speaking. And the materials is authentic. One of the weak points of this service could be it has only one type of listening questions. I mean, it has the only ’listen and fill-in-the-gaps’ quiz option.👂✍️

    Good job, Shan! I agree with you that Tube Quizard focuses more on language input but ignore the output process and probably only helpful for developing listening skills. Also, it might be suitable for more autonomous adult learners and not so engaging to young learners.

Using Tellagami APP to create a short clip easily!

When you open the Tellagami APP you will be displayed with the  options of CREATE or HOW TO. If you click HOW TO, step-by-step instructions will be given. Select CREATE to create one like this   Select character then we can choose genders, appearance and clothes. The background could be also be changed. You can add text to speech by touching the text button. And several voices could be selected. (Upgrade by payment needed) You could also record your own words into it. Click the Share button will allow you to send the link of the Tellagami you created or download it. This APP is very easy to use. And even young learners could learn it through brief instructions.
